  1. So the guy actually worked with one of the non profits to give a little bit of transparency into the salvage and scrapping of e waste then I mean it's hard to say what happened in the middle but him working with the non profit got him sent to prison…

  2. We're going to have to learn that society can't exist without a negative impact on nature. We're becoming more dependent on technology that is way more of an immediate threat than climate change.

  3. They should require user replaceable batteries to every average joe product such as laptop, phone and tablets. Would be also a benefit to require manufacturers to offer decently priced spareparts and even newer cpu holding mainboards. It is so ridiculous that products life cycle is 2 years when you could simply replace the battery since cpu power is good enough to continue the use.

  4. I recycle my electronics and made crazy things out of them like Dc motor from an old Printer you use that to make robots and even big high voltage capacitors

  5. This is a very biased report filled with caveats. TWo accurate things, companies don't care, they just want profits, there are systems available to process this quickly and efficiently in the USA WHILE RECOVERY THE RESOURCES However the overall picture is the fact that USA IS ONLY ONE SMALL FACTOR. You have "rest of the world" who are worst offenders. Totally there are 54 MILLION metric tons A YEAR of e waste in the world. Ironically this video uses electronics to track electronic wsste. Think about this number – 9 billion phoes have been made – all over seas, NON IN THE USA. THIS ORGANIZATION HAS NO BEEF AND OFFERS VERY LITTLE INSIGHT.

  6. I making some bucks in throwing e-waste by peoples in nature i grabbing it and dismantlig for copper alu iron etc. Other waste i sorting in danger ewaste bins and making some bucks.. free from money nothing you may look on my channel in my every founded & dismantled electronic i finally weighting non-ferrous metals on scale in grams. All peoples who join to my channel will be welcomel

  7. Plastic recycling is a "conspiracy"too.
Shipped to Sputheast asia, to be burned, or dumped in nature.
Onlya few percent end up recycled

Thats why reduction of disposable plastic consumption is KEY
